PRESS RELEASE
Starting Wednesday November 11, 2020 and continuing through Thursday December 31, 2020:
- Public access to Door County buildings and facilities will be restricted.
- Access to Door County departments will be limited to by appointment-only. Visitors must follow all required health and safety measures. This includes physical distancing (keep 6 feet distance between yourself and others) and wearing face coverings (cover your mouth and nose with a mask).
- Staff tele-work options will be expanded.
Staff will be available by phone and email.

Circuit Court
The Justice Center is open. Some staff will be working remotely. The public is strongly encouraged to call ahead. Business can often occur through mail, phone, fax, and the secure drop box in the main entrance. Court hearings will be conducted via Zoom video conferencing. Clerk of Circuit Court
At the present time, The Clerk of Courts and Circuit Court is currently open to the public conducting in person court appearances and remote court appearances by written request.
To monitor if the Door County Justice Center has closed in-person court proceedings call 920-746-2434 for updates. ONLY if the Door County Justice Center closes to in-person court proceedings will public access be available at www.wicourts.gov In that event, scroll down to and click on COVID-19/livestream courts, selecting Branch 1 for Judge Ehlers or Branch 2 for Judge Weber under Door County. Active participants must follow Instructions for How to Appear Remotely in the case file.

District Attorney
The District Attorney’s Office is open and staffed 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Some staff will be working remotely. Health and Human Services

Highway and Airport
Highway Operations: Highway Department buildings are closed to the public. Visitors must make appointments with department staff to enter the facility. Highway Department is considered essential operations and has been performing construction and maintenance work on roadways throughout the county. Highway office staff are available on a full time basis to answer questions and assist the public.
Airport Operations: The Door County Airport building is closed to the public. The Door County Airport is open to the public for incoming and departing flights.
Lift Bridge Tending operations: There is no change of service to the lift bridge operations, and are staffed 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
Human Resources

Land Use Services

Library
All Door County Libraries are open by appointment only for limited browsing, computer use, and photocopying. Pickup service is also available. Call a Library Branch for more information. http://www.doorcountylibrary.org/

Transportation
The following services are available, however rides will continue to be provided on an individual basis whenever possible. Riders are asked to ride in the back seat to allow distance between driver and rider and to wear mask.

ADRC bus/van service is available Monday through Friday. To schedule a ride call 920/746-2548. A 24-hour advance reservation is preferred.
